We may be buried under a mountain of snow but we are doing all right here at the Dyck household. The days slip by with laundry and such and then a loose tooth makes things exciting here and there. The house is quiet now but that lasts for short mornings and then it comes alive again by noon. Somehow I zombie out a tad those mornings which is bad but easy to do.
I thought I'd post a few pics of life these last few months of 2013. We had a very laid back time in January in Florida and have been dreaming of it since then. Chris and I are going just the 2 of us in April for the weekend and I am counting the days. Our neighbour is checking into our condo tomorrow so that is exciting to share it with friends-and live vicariously through them! February was Caleb's birthday and we had a fun party for him one saturday morning in a multipurpose room at the nearby church. I let him invite anyone he wanted and wound up with 16 kids to entertain for 2 and a half hours. Yikes! It was a pirate theme and we played games and had a lot of fun. I think we all collapsed after for 3 seconds and then headed to the next party that afternoon that both boys were invited to. What a day! We've pretty much had a birthday party each weekend since and Caleb is enjoying this fun with his kindergarten friends. Since he's 6 now he has lost both bottom teeth in the last month-I love that look! Carson is preparing for his grade 1 piano exam and all the while dreams of hockey and being a goalie. His winter session of hockey is over next week and he will continue with a spring league. Caleb will play fun soccer with his friends and I signed him up last night as well as volunteered at the community club and handed out tax receipts. Nice to do things like that as it makes you feel a part of the community. Chris is plugging away at work and trying to stock the lot for spring but as Kia grows they just can't seem to build the cars fast enough and he is trying to meet targets with less stock. A bit frustrating. We are also gearing up for some spring move ins and move outs and always have some sort of tenant issue come up. Spring is usually when it gets the busiest for that. Never a dull moment.
